Master of Divinity

Accredited by ATA, this 90 Credit program is designed to provide a foundation in biblical languages and interpretation, theological reflection, and church ministry issues in Asia.

Streams Offered:

1. M.Div in Biblical Studies  
This stream provides an in-depth exploration of the Scriptures, focusing on biblical languages, hermeneutics, and theological interpretation. It is designed for those who desire to engage deeply with God’s Word and develop a strong foundation in biblical scholarship.

2.
M.Div in Church Leadership and Ministry
This stream equips students with the practical and theological skills needed for effective pastoral leadership, discipleship, and church administration. It is ideal for those preparing for pastoral roles, church planting, and congregational leadership.

3.
M.Div in Ministry and Missions
This stream focuses on evangelism, cross-cultural ministry, and global missions. It prepares students to engage in missionary work, outreach programs, and church expansion efforts, both locally and internationally.

Admissions

BSSI seeks to accept only students who desire God's leading in their lives. Prospective students should desire to develop their spiritual lives and skills for ministry in order to be prepared for any ministry to which God may lead.

BSSI admits Indian students of any gender, colour,  and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the seminary.

ADMISSION STANDARDS

​

  • Christian Character: Applicants for admission must testify that they are personally trusting in Jesus Christ as Saviour and are endeavouring to live in submission to the Will of God as manifested in obedience to the Word of God.

  • Doctrinal Agreement: Applicants for admission must testify that they are in agreement with the Doctrinal Statement of BSSI.

  • Entrance Exam: All eligible are required to take an entrance exam. 

  • Interview: Interviews will be scheduled for all applicants who have taken the entrance exam. This interview will encourage the student to elaborate on his/her "testimony of salvation" and pertinent aspects of his/her life and ministry.
